Jubilee exhibition Time and space at ECI Cultuurfabriek Roermond

Time and space, an overview from September 13th to November 29th 2015

This year I celabrate my 25 anniversary working as an artist. ECI Cultuurfabriek Roermond invited me to exhibit a selection of 30 paintings from the period 1989 – 2015. These paintings show the development in my work and will be presented in the beautiful, big exhibition hall at the first floor of ECI Cultuurfabriek. This overview of my work has been made possible by private collectors, the Municipality of Roermond and Museum MORE who were so kind to lend a painting from their collection for this exhibition.

Film: Marcel van Hoef at his studio

At het exhibition room at the ground floor a film about the work process in my studio will be presented. The film is produced by students of the faculty Visual Communication of the Academy for Visual Arts Maastricht (Hogeschool Zuyd). During a periode of 8 weeks Maartje Coenen, Kim Hotterbeekx and Jesse Colin filmed in my studio  the creative process from idea to result. The film editing shows a fascinating view on the work process and will be presented by projections of 4 phases, lasting 3 minutes each.

Curator of the exhibiton is Ridsert Hoekstra, former director of the Stedelijk Museum Roermond
